Solar Plexus affirmations are a powerful way to develop higher self-esteem.

Affirmations are positive statements designed to help rewire the brain to diminish negative thoughts and replace them with more encouraging self-talk.

Affirmations for the third chakra are written to support the healing of issues and blockages related to this specific chakra. When practiced regularly, they’re a powerful way to develop high self-esteem.

What is the Solar Plexus Chakra?

When the chakras are open and aligned, this manifests as good physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

The chakra system is made up of the following seven major chakras:

  • Crown chakra
  • Third Eye chakra
  • Throat chakra
  • Heart chakra
  • Solar Plexus chakra
  • Sacral chakra
  • Root chakra

Each of the above make up the main chakras, and are like energy centres or wheels in the human body. When the chakras are open and aligned, energy flows freely between them and this manifests as good physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

The Solar Plexus center or Manipura chakra (its Sanskrit name) is an important energy center located in the upper body, just below the breastbone and above the belly button (hence sometimes being referred to as the navel chakra). Manipura literally translates to gem (mani) and city (pure), or in other words, the city of jewels.

A blocked chakra can interfere with the natural flow of energy through the body, creating tension.

Starting from the first chakra (Root) at the base of the spine, and working upwards towards the Crown positioned above the head, the Solar Plexus is the third chakra. It’s associated with the color yellow and the fire element.

Emotionally, the Solar Plexus chakra is linked to self-esteem and is where our belief systems are formed and held within the body. Physically, it’s connected to the digestive system and adrenal glands.

A blocked chakra can interfere with the natural flow of energy through the body, creating tension and a myriad of issues. An imbalanced Solar Plexus chakra can manifest in a variety of ways, and using affirmations is a great way to correct the problem.
