Robert Allan Krakower was born in Montreal, Canada on April 9th, 1948, to parents Jospeh Krakower and Yetta Josephson, and lived his early years in there.
Robert was the fourth child in an upper middle class, wealthy family, and he was exposed to culture and the arts from a young age. He learned a great love of music, and this became a way to express himself throughout his life.
As Ra Uru Hu, Robert Krakower would later become the Human Design system’s founder and messenger.
As a young man, Robert earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Sir George Williams University, and his career path led him to into the business world as a magazine publisher, advertising executive, and media producer.
In 1983, Robert left behind everything he knew, travelling to the island of Ibiza in the mediterranean sea, where he spent time as a school teacher, and would later become the Human Design system’s founder and messenger.

Did Ra Uru Hu Have a Family?
Ra Uru Hu married Helaine Herman at the Shaare Zedek Synagogue in Montreal in the summer of 1970. When he later experienced a calling in 1983, he walked away from his life in order to pursue what would become his vocation.
Information is sketchy, but investigations point to Ra later remarrying a woman named Ambuja, and going on to have three children.

How Did Ra Uru Hu Discover Human Design?
During the evening of January 3rd, 1987, Robert had an unusual mystical experience, followed by a terrifying experience with ‘a Voice’.
It was this voice which enlightened him with the philosophy of Human Design, and the time during which Robert became Ra Uru Hu.
Ra dedicated his life to bringing the wisdom he received to the world.
How Did Ra Uru Hu Develop the Human Design System?
For eight days and nights during which he did not eat, drink, or sleep, Ra received a transmission of information which he transcribed into what has now become known as the Human Design system.
Following his mystical encounter, in 1989 Ra Uru Hu wrote the Rave I’Ching, the foundation upon which Human Design rests, and a reference book to the system, covering gates and channels, circuits, and incarnation crosses.
For the next 25 years, Ra dedicated his life to bringing the wisdom he received to the world.

How Did Ra Uru Hu Communicate His Message to the World?
Ra Uru Hu spent the remaining years of his life developing and teaching his fellow human beings the message of how to live a healthy life within the framework of Human Design.
Ra Uru Hu was a pure Manifestor with Splenic inner authority.
In 1992, he founded the International Human Design School.
IHDS remains responsible for education training standards according to the original teachings, and setting and maintaining standards and materials for Human Design worldwide. It’s also the official certifying agency and record keeper for all Certified IHDS Human Design Professionals.

How Did Ra Uru Hu Die?
The pioneer lived out his life in the United States, Germany and for most of the time on Ibiza, where he passed away of a heart attack in the early morning of March 12th, 2011.
At the time of his death, Ra Uru Hu was survived by his wife and three children.
