Different types are a little like personality types with archetypal patterns, and they’re determined by which energy centers, gates, and channels are defined within an individual’s chart. The white centers represent your undefined centers, and likewise your gates and channels.
Note, an energy center is automatically defined when an activated gate links to an adjacent defined gate in another center, creating a defined channel, and allowing a flow of energy between them. Defined centers are where you are able to generate energy in a consistent way.
In turn, the ancient wisdom of Human Design influences the personality traits and life force energy of human beings, their role and life path.

You can get your free Rave chart using the calculator on this page. When it comes to Human Design charts, you may hear several terms used interchangeably, however Human Design experts agree they are not the same.
With that in mind, let’s take a closer look and go over the main difference between each one.
Rave BodyGraph™
A body graph refers to the image of circuitry in the human body, like this:
Human Design Chart
A Human Design chart corresponds to the imagery of the circuitry, with the conscious Personality and unconscious Design lines either side, showing the birth data of an individual.
Rave Mandala™
A Rave Mandala incorporates a body graph and Astrological natal chart, depicting the synthesis of all of the different modalities which combine to create the Human Design system.
In the below example, the two outermost rings show the I’Ching hexagrams, visually, and numerically.
Beyond the I’Ching, the 12 signs of the zodiac appear, as they do in Western astrology charts (Vedic astrology charts are different).
In terms of the body graph itself, the circuitry is based on Sephirot of the Kabbalah.
Finally, the energy centers correspond to the 7 chakras, although you will note there are two additional energy centers in Human Design.
